Zara Phillips wed Mike Tindall in a bridal gown by Stewart Parvin who is a favorite designer of the Queen.
She selected an ivory silk faille and duchess satin design that was both elegant and modern. The gown featured small back buttons that ran from the neckline to the base of the dress. The gown had hidden pockets and a drop waist with inverted pleating. Wide silk tulle straps formed a v at the back. The gown had a small train.
Zara added Jimmy Choo shoes. She chose to wear the Meander Tiara. The tiara incorporates a ‘Greek Key’ motif and has a large brilliant center stone flanked by wreath designs. The tiara once was owned by the Queen but she never wore it in public. By 1972 it was in the hands of Princess Anne who actually did wear it publicly. The tiara was originally a gift to the Queen from her mother-in-law Princess Andrew of Greece and Denmark.
The tiara was paired with a cathedral length veil. The look was totally Zara. It was dreamy with distinct lines. For me the tiara was the only choice for Zara’s style. The whole look was gorgeous.
