Some of you are already looking forward to the Fall and what better way to see what’s going on around Cincinnati then visiting the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden. The Cincinnati Zoo kicks off the month with the new Zoo Grass Festival event which is Saturday, October 1 from 11 am to 5 pm. Come join the Cincinnati Zoo in welcoming the Hank Peters Lumberjack Show which will feature axe thrown’ and chain sawin’ as well as fall fare and crafts. Don’t worry, there will be plenty of Blue Grass music to stomp your foot too. There will be two stages set up, one a the Vine Street Village which is the main entrance and at Safari Camp. This is free with admission into the Cincinnati Zoo.
Then on October 6 from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm is the Zoo Brew where you will get to try over 20 Samuel Adams brews some of which include their Twisted Tea, Imperial Series and Hard Core Cider. There will also be plenty of food samplings and a Salsa Band, Azucar Tumbao which will help create the night. To get tickets to this event click on Zoo Brew.
The most popular event at the Cincinnati Zoo during the month of October is HallZOOween which will be held October 8-9, 15-16, and 22-23 this year from noon until 5 pm. Kids can dress up in their costumes, enjoy a visit with the Frisch’s Big Boy and trick-or-treat. There are also animal encounters as well as Phil Dalton’s Theater of Illusion Show, the Beauty Shop of Horrors, Pumpkin Patch, pumpkin carving demonstrations and many more things to do.
