A warm front that lifted over the region last night produced some heavy showers and a few thunderstorms. While there was a Severe Thunderstorm Watch Box issued for parts of Western New York, as of this posting the watch has been cancelled and any potential for severe weather has diminished. It will continue to be warm and humid while we are in this airmass, however, later today a cold front will swing through providing another chance for some heavy showers before clearing out later tonight when cooler and drier air filters in for the weekend.
Showers and a thunderstorm possible later this afternoon. Some may be heavy where the development is most significant. Highs in the low 80’s. It will feel muggy outside as well. Tonight, any showers will exit the region with the passage of a cold front. Clearing skies will develop after midnight. Lows in the upper 60’s. Saturday and Sunday both look to be mostly sunny, warm and pleasant with daytime highs near 85 degrees.
Enjoy the weekend!
