The 10th Annual California Snag Proof Open offers the tastiest topwater tournament in town as the “frog only” competition comes to the California Delta this weekend. Frog fishermen have two chances for a last minute lesson from Snag Proof pros as Delta Guide Bobby Barrack and Elite Series angler Ish Monroe take center stage at two Fisherman’s Warehouse locations. Confirmed in an interview today with Angler’s Press, “Both locations will now accept registrations and participants will receive a free frog at sign-up.”
For those on their way to the original Fisherman’s Warehouse in Manteca, Monroe will head the amphibious academy and the Sacramento store will have the bunch that go Back to Class with Barrack.
With two days on opposing tides, the Snag Proof Open will put anglers to the test on their toad techniques on August 6 and 7. Saturday will hit the afternoon tide from 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and Sunday blast-off will be at 6:00 a.m. with a noon weigh-in.
Entry runs $200 for teams in the pro division and $100 for the am. Options will be available.
