We’re Moving and by the way were taking our house.

How upset are people with their declining home values and out of control taxes in various States. Apparently they are now so upset they’re not just looking to move their belongings from their home state and relocate to an area whose taxes are more affordable. They are now considering on moving their entire home to another State and send a very loud message to their present elected officials enough is enough and you won’t tax me out of my home! Instead, I’m taking my home with me and I’m going to leave you behind with a vacant lot.

Situated in the State of Connecticut is a family that is considering on doing just that. Having built their dream home years ago where they expected to retire, they now feel they are faced with a State which has lost focus on what is a fair tax rate on property and income taxes. Not satisfied with the direction Connecticut their home State is going they purchased another building lot several hundred miles away in the State of New Hampshire several years ago. Now they are considering on shipping their entire three thousand SQ Ft custom built home to their new building lot in the White Mountains. For them they see the savings over the long term as possibly being huge when they add up the cost to build an entire new home from scratch and the savings in State taxes.. What about their existing lot their home presently sits on high above a hill top overlooking several ponds and grassy land that cows graze on once they move their home away? That a plus for the land has held its relative value not homes and will help offset the costs to move their house once the lot is eventually sold.

For America It now seems the grass is greener in the other guy’s backyard if not State and the definition of home sweet home may just have a new meaning to it as well. Yet again the word mobile home may look a little different as you travel down the highway someday as a full size house passes you by doing 55 MPH. as someone looks out as they’re doing the dishes and just wave’s goodbye. The only thing is can you imagine waking up one day and looking out your window to see that all your neighbors moved away and took them home, maybe for some that would be a good thing.

Whatever the case maybe I’m sure there are many people in the State of New York and other States that wish they could do the same thing! Just pack up the whole house and move away…..

Now if only everyone else could do this maybe our home values wouldn’t decline.
