The Dustbowl Music Festival has come and gone, but there is still plenty of live music going on every weekend and September 1st through the 4th is no exception!
9/1 Thursday night starts off with some free music by Camille Harp at The Deli from 7-9pm, and then at 9 The Wallpaper Series Fundraiser kicks off with Pilgrim and Pine, Ex Oblivione, Pa Pa Win, Caravact, and Hood Mason for only $5. The Conservatory has Saviours, Los Hijos, and A Fate Far Worse, while Them Hounds will be taking the stage at The Blue Note.
9/2 Friday night The Deli will be hosting Dorian Small and The Pidgin Band. Jim Wardof Sparta/Sleepycar/At The Drive-In will be at The Opolis with Black and White Years, and catch The Gardes with The Gussissin at VZD’s.
Local punk bands The Costanzas and The Disposables will be playing at The Bluebonnet in Norman with more bands to be added, and The SweetWater will be performing at The Blue Note.
9/3 Saturday may be game day, but that doesn’t mean you have to miss out on some awesome live music. Head over to The Deli where Camille Harp will be playing pre-game and The Damn Quails go on after OU wins. The Bora Borawill have live music from Bermuda County, Planets Align, Twice, Straitjacket Philosophy, and 13 Cent Kill.
Celebrate Labor Day weekend at Belle Isle Brewery after the game for some awesome local beer and some awesome local music. Tele Mori and Aliens VS Robots will be going on around 11pm. Mont Lyons will be at VZDs with Devin James Fry. Live music fans in Luther can see singer/song writer and OK Music Review writer David James McKinney at Mami Chulas Mexican Kitchen. Catch Phat Minotaur, Psychotic Reaction, and Dadrock at Anty Shanty’s. Ryan Lawson will be performing at Picasso’s Café with special guest O Fidelis, and The Conservatory has Turbo Fruits with The Boom Bang and The Copperheads.
9/4 Monday is Labor Day, so Sunday is just another night to party. Head out to Baker Street Pub & Grill for their End of Summer Bash. There will be a live DJ starting at 9:45 and no cover.
