A warm front will pass through our region tonight providing an increase in cloud cover and also warm our temperatures to above seasonal levels into Friday. Showers and some thunderstorms will also accompany this warm front for later this evening and overnight as it passes through Western New York. As meteorological fall begins on September 1, above normal temperatures with highs into the 80’s will be featured. In addition, humidity levels will be noticeable through the end of the week. Longer term, a low pressure trough will dig into the region by Sunday, lowering temperatures quite a bit to below normal reading for the first part of our week next week.
For today, partly to mostly cloudy skies with highs in the upper 70’s to near 80. Tonight, cloudy skies will dominate with a chance of showers developing after midnight. Lows will be in the lower 60’s and humidity will be higher as well. Thursday will feature cloudy skies with a good chance of showers and perhaps a thunderstorm. Highs will reach into the lower 80’s.
