Boris Sandler, professional violinist, is a musician at The Phil in Naples, Florida.
Sandler was born in Tbilisi, Georgia in the U.S.S.R., and both of his parents were violinists with Tbilisi Symphony Orchestra and Sandler began playing violin at age 7- so one can say violin runs in his blood!

Sandler even won first prize at the State Competition for young performers at age 16 and played Mendelssohn, Tchaikovsky and Mozart violin concertos with the Tbilisi Symphony Orchestra.
Then Sandler moved to the United States with his family in 1979 and began studies with Dorothy Delay at the Juilliard School under full scholarship. He also received a full scholarship at the Manhattan School of Music in New York and studied with Glenn Dicterow.
This talented violinist has performed as a substitute violinist with the New York Philharmonic as well as other orchestras throughout New York. Sandler has been a member of the Naples Philharmonic Orchestra since 2001.
