Tempe fans are waiting for the return of Vampire Diaries for its third season this September, and one of the main reasons fans are excited to see what happens next is Joseph Morgan’s Klaus. On Tuesday, Digital Spy reported on additional details about Klaus in season three, and the arrival of a new person in Mystic Falls that might even be worse than Klaus. With the havoc he caused on the series in season two that is a strong statement.
The new details about Klaus come straight from Joseph Morgan. He revealed a lot about his character, and what will happen between him and Stefan, played by Paul Wesley, in season three. He had this to say:
“Obviously Klaus has taken Stefan under his wing and whisked him away on a path of corruption. They’re not in Mystic Falls at the moment, so we’re going to see a little more of that. A lot can happen in a few months. We’ll really see a darker side of Stefan as well, how far Klaus has corrupted him and how far he’s willing to go. As the series goes on we’ll learn a lot more about Klaus’s motives for bringing Stefan along. He’s not just done it on a whim. There’s a goal, there’s a plan.”
What is that plan? Fans have no idea yet, but that will be revealed. Fans are also wondering if Stefan will make it back to Mystic Falls in time for the big 18th birthday party Elena is having in the season premiere. This new Stefan might not appreciate how close his brother Damon and Elena have become.
However, there is another villain on the way to Mystic Falls. Julie Plec had this to say about this new arrival:
“I would definitely say that Klaus isn’t the worst baddie that we’ve seen so far. It will be fun to see who’s going to steal his thunder eventually as we get deep into season three.”
There have been new additions to the cast as well. There is word of a new vampire slayer named Eric arriving in town, and Spoiler TV revealed three new arrivals to the Vampire Diaries cast on Tuesday. These new faces are Jason Mac, April Billingsey, and Diany Rodriguez. Is Jason Mac the new vampire slayer in town? The roles these three will play have not yet been revealed.
Fans are waiting to see what happens next on this series. One fan said the following on Twitter recently:
#TrueBlood season 4 should keep me entertained until #VampireDiaries season 3 comes out. .
Vampire Diaries will return to Channel 6 in Tempe this September.
