UCLA rising sophomore Anton Arboleda started the final round of the Pacific Coast Amateur four strokes off the lead help by Taylor Travis. Arboleda got off to a fast start, taking a share of the lead after just six holes. Arboleda had it going early, birdieing five of his first seven holes. He kept his solid play going and took a one shot lead early into the back nine.
Arboleda posted a final round 67 to finish the event at 9 under, but this was only good enough for a tie for second. Both Arboleda and 54 hole leader Taylor Travis were overtaken by Chris Williams. Travis, who led after both 36 and 54 holes, struggled in the final round. Williams posted the best round of the final day, a six under 66. Williams, who had a share of the lead late in the round, birdied his final hole to take the tournament lead and eventually the championship.
