Local and regional U.S. Air Force (USAF) bases continue their recovery from Hurricane Irene.
In the last 24 hours, both Langley Air Force Base (VA) and Dover Air Force Base (DE) lifted stop-movement orders put in place prior the storm.
According to the USAF public affairs, all personnel with permanent change of station and temporary-duty orders now are to proceed to the bases “as appropriate.” In addition, airmen who were away from either base, on leave or TDY, also are authorized to return.
Affected personnel and dependents can contact the USAF Personnel Center at 210-565-3815 (military members) or 210-565-5737 (civilians) if they have any questions. There also are 24-hour numbers in place for calls outside normal business hours: 210-565-2020 or 800-435-9941.
