For those unable to make it out to a game or just can’t stay away during the off season, a tour of the Rangers Ballpark will hit the spot like a hot dog during intermission. Rangers Ballpark tours are lead by baseball fans with a passion for the team and what they do. Enthusiastic tour guide, Billie Ball, was friendly, energetic and passionate about baseball and her team, making this one a tour to remember.
Tours last approximately one hour and are family-friendly, filled with history, trivia and stats that will entertain and invigorate even less than hardcore baseball fans. These tidbits of facts built the franchise from what it used to be. Would a game still be exciting featuring the Senators instead of the Rangers? Before 1972, that’s who you would have been cheering on.Luckily Texas flavor worked its magic and the Rangers were born.
See the most exciting behind-the-scenes areas of the ballpark including batting cages, press box, City of Arlington Suite, sit inside the dugouts, and much more. With background stories about legends like bigwig Ted Williams, and superstars of today like Nelson Cruz, both visitors to the Dallas area and locals will take pride in being part of the Rangers and their homerun to success.
Tours are given daily on the hour until 4pm from Tuesday through Saturday during the off season (November through March) and daily during the season 9 to 4pm Monday through Saturday and Sundays from 11 to 4pm. Adults pay $10 for the tour and children over 4 years old pay $5. Younger children are free. Interested patrons can either buy tickets online or at the ticket booth marked “Tours” at the South Entrance of the Stadium on Randoll Mill Rd.
