-On July 30th, Rage Against the Machine and Goldenvoice present L.A. Rising, a music festival that will be featuring a dynamite lineup of artists that includes Muse, Lauryn Hill, Rage Against the Machine, Rise Against, Immortal Techinique, and El Gran Silencio. -The 18th Annual Long Beach Crawfish Festival will be held on July 30th from 12:00pm to 11:00pm at the Rainbow Lagoon in Long Beach, CA. The festival will have popular Zydeco acts, Zydeco dance lessons, a mini Mardi Gras, storytelling, magicians, and best of all, a New Orleans-inspired cuisine. Tickets start at $13.00.
-The Drink:Eat:Play Block Party takes place on July 30th from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at the Paramount Studio’s New York Streets back lot in Los Angeles. The event will feature live entertainment from the SGT Peppers, a variety of beer, and great food. The Drink:Eat:Play Block Party gives people an opportunity to network, patronize a variety of food trucks, and enjoy a festive evening of entertainment that’s reminiscent of old-school block parties.
-Located west of downtown Los Angeles, MacArthur Park will be holding its free weekly concert featuring Ceci Bastida and Gaby Moreno. The concert will begin at 7:00pm on July 30th. Admission is free to the public with open lawn seating. For more information, visit the Levitt Pavilion website.
-There’s a new, popular nightclub in Carson, CA! On July 29th, the Sol Nightclub is hosting a night of dancing and free drinks. The South Bay nightclub will also be featuring the hottest songs at the discretion of DJ Hyphy Crunk and Starr African Rum. Doors open at 9:00pm.
-On July 29th, the Performing Arts Center of Los Angeles County Music Center will be hosting its Disco Dance night starting at 6:30pm. The free event will give people the opportunity to participate in beginner dance lessons and listen to live music. This weekend event is usually packed, so come early.
-If you are a fan of actor and comedian Jon Lovitz, then you will be happy to hear that Goldstar.com is offering tickets to attend the Jon Lovitz Comedy Club at Universal Citywalk on July 30th, at 8:00pm. The comedian is most famous for his stints on Saturday Night Live, The Critic, and A League of Their Own. Ticket prices range from free to $20.00 if you purchase through Goldstar.com.
