Beginning in September 2011, The Magic House in St. Louis, Missouri will provide a service that many parents of young children will appreciate. My First School features classes for toddlers that focus on early childhood development and helping children get ready for a traditional public or private school classroom setting.
The nine week course at The Magic House will help children transition from being home with Mommy or in a child care or private babysitter environment to preschool class, without the stress of attending preschool daily. My First School is designed for kids ages 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 and will meet for one hour, once per week.
During The Magic House preschool class, toddlers will learn how to interact with peers and teachers while they also gain skills to ready them for school. With parents nearby for reassurance, toddlers can begin to gain some independence in a less-intimidating environment.
The My First School course is offered to Magic House members for $100 and to non-members for $135. Classes begin the week of September 20, 2011. Reservations or more information can be obtained by calling 314-822-8900.
