When guests head to Walt Disney World, most of them are there for the attractions and rides and shows and characters. Others like to go and enjoy the resorts and pools and stores and restaurants. What so many fail to do is take a look at their surroundings and realize just how beautiful it is…and Future World at Epcot is a great place to start.
Upon stepping through the front gates at Epcot, guests are automatically greeted with what many consider to be the “giant ball,” but it is really known as Spaceship Earth. This giant towering sphere is the icon of Epcot and greets all those who enter in a mesmerizing way.
What everyone should do though is stop and really look at it for a second. Check out all the detailed work to see exactly how it is put together and formed. Spaceship Earth is not just a giant, gray globe thrown together.

Other shots you’ll see in the image gallery include pics of Journey Into Imagination and its surrounding areas during the day and at night. So many head to to the attraction to see Figment or watch Captain Eo, but the beautiful water fountains and jumping water that surrounds it are things not to be missed.
Venture into The Land pavilion and without heading straight downstairs to Soarin’ or the Listen to the Land boat ride, stop at the top and look around. See the intricately detailed hot air balloons floating near the ceiling?
Over off to the side of a bridge behind Test Track are floating flower displays. Seemingly they hover on the water and make sure to add beauty to an otherwise bland scene near The Odyssey Restaurant.
Next time you head to Epcot, take your time and notice so much more of what’s around you rather then merely heading from one attraction to another with a set plan in mind. So many beautiful sights are missed and you’re actually going to miss out on a big part of what you bought a ticket to Disney World for.
Not everything in Future World is shown in this slideshow, but believe me there is much more to come.
