What does President Obama have against reality TV? First, he had the nerve to interrupt the ending of Celebrity Apprentice to announce that the our brave NAVY SEALS had killed Osama Bin Laden because he’s a little mad at Donald Trump asking for his birth certificate. Now, Obama had to interrupt Monday night’s episode of The Bachelorette to discuss about this silly little debt crisis. Didn’t his parents taught him a thing or two about manners? Fortunately, despite Obama’s best efforts, viewers weren’t denied the enjoyment of watching Ashley continuing “journey” to find true love as she and the three remaining men in the beautiful islands of Fiji.
Before Ashley gets ready for her first date, she was greeted with a surprise visitor. Was it Bentley? Ames? Jason Voorhees? Michael Myers? No, it was Ryan P. He came back because he felt that they didn’t have enough time to click before she sent him home a few weeks ago. After he returned him, he missed the passion he had with her. So, he called Chris Harrison and asked him if he can come to Fiji so that he can ask Ashley to have a second chance to get to know him. Does Chris Harrison and the producers enjoy torturing Ashley with Bentley and Ryan. Why not inviting the drunk guy from the first episode back so he can have a second chance? Anyway, Ashley said that she thinks about as he stays while she goes on her dates.
Her first date was with Ben as Ashley took him a date on the waterfront by boat. During the date, Ben told her that his mother told him how proud she was of him during the hometown dates. Then, they acted goofy when they applied suntan lotion on each other. Then, the couple went scuba-diving and swam underwater. After the boat ride, Ashley and Ben had dinner on the beach where they talked about their hometown date. Ben said that his favorite part was the ride home where he thinks about the fun time they had. He also said that he’s more emotionally available now compared to at the beginning of the show. Ben also used the term “the whole I Love You Thing,” but he didn’t actually said that he loves her. Then, after Ashley told him of the Fantasy Suite card, he accepted as they went to the suite for some alone time. Even though he enjoyed his time with Ashley, Ben still won’t tell her he loves her.
The second date was with Constantine as Ashley wanted to know if their relationship can pick up. She surprised him with a helicopter ride and learned that it will be his first ride. While the couple took off in the helicopter, Ryan viewed it from the beach while waiting for her answer if she wants him back. They viewed the beautiful landscape of the Fiji islands until they landed on the beach. Later, they took a dive into the lake near the waterfalls. During the picnic, Ashley asked him how many houses he viewed before he bought the one he’s living. He said that he visited over 1000 houses because he wanted the one that would be perfect for his “mancave.” Ashley pointed out that he likes to take time and think things through, but she felt that he’s running out of time for this relationship. Constantine replied that houses aren’t like women. Ashley later said that it was hard reading Constantine, and he gave selective answers to her. She later asked if it’s weird having his friend Ben and him dating the same woman, and he said that it’s not really weird and that you can’t control who you love. He also admitted that he’s slow because he’s unsure but felt that he didn’t held back. But, Ashely doesn’t get the connection from Constantine, and he knows it. But, before the viewers get to see the climax of this riveting conversation, President Obama rudely interrupted the dinner so he can talk about this debt crisis thing. The good news is that the show picked up where it left over after the address when Constantine made the fateful decision of turning down an invite to the Fantasy Suite out of respect for her and leave Ashley and the beautiful islands of Fiji. Exit, stage left.
After Constantine left, Ashley was thinking if she would be left all alone. Before she do out on a date with J.P., she had a talk with Ryan. She admits that he was on her mind and that he’s the type of guy she’s looking for when he first entered the mansion. She also said that she was distraught after letting him go because she felt that it was premature. However, Ashley said that she have a deep connection with two men and decided to let Ryan go again. Ryan tearfully said goodbye to Ashley and, as he went on his way home, said that he’ll find love again and keep repeating the phrase, “it’ll happen.” Once again, he’s auditioning to be the next Bachelor.
Ashley’s final date was with J.P. and vowed not to let him go. They went flying on a bi-plane to a private island. Once there, J.P. told her that his family gave her rave reviews during her hometown visit. Later, they two took a dive into the waters and kissed. J.P. wants to be the only guy Ashley thinks about, but she told him on Constantine’s departure and Ryan’s visit. After she told him that she sent Ryan home, J.P. was relived because it wasn’t Bentley. After Ashley read the Fantasy Suite card, J.P. accepted as the two share some romantic time alone in the suite. Again, J.P. didn’t told Ashley that he loves her because he doesn’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings.
During her conversation with Chris Harrison, Ashley told him that she was more compatible with Ben and that she and J.P. complimented each other. Even though it was down to two men with two roses, Ashley wanted the Rose Ceremony because she wants to know that they wanted her as well.
So, after Ashley explained Constantine’s absence and the reason she wanted the Rose Ceremony, Ashley presented J.P. and Ben roses, and both men accepted, of course. The two men will meet Ashley’s family in the Southwest islands of Fiji before proposing to her.
The Men Tell All special will air on Sunday night as the men, hopefully Bentley too, reunite. On next Monday, the finale where Ashley will choose which man will be her soulmate, or she will choose no one. Who knows, maybe Bentley will make a surprise visit? Also, there could be a possible argument between Ashley and her sister. After the finale, the After the Final Rose special immediately follows it.
You can watch The Bachelorette every Monday nights this summer at eight on WTVD.
