Taylor Lautner is featured on the latest cover of VMAN, and in the issue, he talked a bit about his experience working on The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 and The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2.
One of the things he discussed was the length of shooting for both films (which were done at the same time, over the course of seven months and three different locations in three different countries).
From HollywoodCrush’s excerpt of the interview:
“It was really helpful that all of us were going through the same thing at the same time . . . I think if we didn’t have that sort of relationship it would have been tough. It would have felt pretty lonely. Because when you’re filming for these ‘Breaking Dawn’ movies—we were filming for seven months—and if you’re there alone the whole time, even with the cast members, like on a day off, or on weekends, you’d go nuts.”
Another point of discussion is the rampant following he and his fellow Twilight Saga leaders, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, have earned from the films. Lautner attributes the fandom to the characters and not themselves.
“It’s definitely these characters we’re playing. They are in love with Bella Swan, Edward Cullen, and Jacob Black. I mean, they feel like they know them. We’re just lucky enough to be playing them. But I definitely think it’s the characters.”
A preview video of the issue is attached.
