The highly-successful Taste of Buffalo has spawned many more “taste ofs” throughout the area. Here are a few of the upcoming food fests for August.
Taste of Clarence and Cruise Night – Monday, August 1st at the Clarence Town Park Pavilion on Main St. from 4 to 9 p.m. The eighth annual event features 21 restaurants (including Ivy’s Vine Fine Café, Clarence Grille, Hirsch’s, Quaker Steak and Lube and Bill Gray’s), classic cars throughout the park, and music from Whirlin’ Disc Sound and the Blues Brothers (7 p.m.). Taste of Ellicottville – Saturday and Sunday, August 6th and 7th in the village of Ellicottville. More than 20 of the area’s top restaurants will be offering samples of favorite dishes, taking place from noon to 4 p.m. both days. Tickets will be $1 each, and most samples will cost between one and four tickets; tickets can be purchased throughout the village. Find out more at www.ellicottvilleny.com.
Taste of Williamsville – Sunday, August 7th from noon to 9 p.m. at Island Park on Main St. in the village of Williamsville. Featuring more than 20 restaurants, live music and the annual pie baking contest. Find out more at tasteofwilliamsville.com.
Taste of Lockport – Sunday, August 21st from noon to 6 p.m. at Ida Fritz Park in Lockport. Featuring more than two dozen restaurants and wineries from the area and live music from The Teasers (noon to 3 p.m.). Find out more at www.thetasteoflockport.com.
