The 25th annual Taste of Dallas is back and bigger than ever once again in Fair Park. The even bigger venue with more food and entertainment was a definite crowdpleaser last year and this event will be even bigger. More chefs, restaurant, artists, vendors, sports teams, kid activities, local bands will be Fair Park from July 8th through July 10th.
For one low price you can sample culinary delights from Twisted Root Burger co (One of D Magazine’s, Dallas Observer and Dallas Morning news best burgers), Texas de Brazil, Sullivan’s, Riscky’s BBQ, Lockhart Smokehouse, the famous Fletcher’s Corny Dogs and many more!
Kids will enjoy the Kid’s Taste Town and adults can enjoy enterainment at the Gilley’s Music Stage location.
On Friday you can join in on the Kick Off Party which includes: prize giveaways, event specials, 2 for 1 Miller High Life Specials, 1/2 price amusement area bracelets, and 2 for 1 snowcones (perfect for the hot Texas nights!)
Taste of Dallas brings many of Dallas’ top restaurants to Fair Park, allowing you to try the excellent culinary fare from a wide range of local establishments. No reservations required as you and your friends tour the food booths and try as many menu items as you like. Tastings are priced from $1 to $3, allowing you the opportunity to try a wide variety of yumminess.
There will be tips and cooking demonstrations from the Metroplex’s leading chefs and the exciting part is the tastings. The 2011 lineup includes:

and at 9 PM on Saturday the Dallas Observer presents the Blue Ribbon Recipe Competition Winners.

The Gilley’s Music Stage will include a weekend lineup of some of your favorite local and regional musicians and bands as well as some local celebrities. Highlights include: Inner City All Stars, Petty Theft and others on Friday night. Saturday night you can see Ronnie Fauss late night entertainment with the Spazmatics. Remember, you can always shop the marketplace that has everything that you’ll need to be a culinary superstar in your own kitchen from cookware to spices to cutlery and more. You can also shop the Artist Enclave with favorites from your local artists that include paintings, sculptures, photography, mosaics and crafts.
Kids Taste Town is the Toast of the Town
This is a family event an so they’ve expanded the offerings to kids with: midway rides, fun zone inflatables, interactive petting zoo, live animal demonstrations, arts and crafts, games, and healthy cooking demos.
They’ll also be able to meet their favorite Marvel Comics and Looney Tune characters throughout the weekend!

Parking is $12 at the fairgrounds or you can take DART. Admission at the gate is $8.00
