Coming back to Chicago from the brief vacationing in New Orleans, Louisiana, gave me an idea for the article about the exotic foods. New Orleans is famous for its French Quarter, Mardi Gras, jazz music, and its exotic foods and drinks. Staying in the French Quarter, I could not avoid the party atmosphere, and I dared myself to try something, that under the normal circumstances I would never have done, such as to try the ALLIGATOR MEAT, which tasted like chicken.
I did a little research online and found out that there are a few places in Chicago, which offer unusual dishes, such as: kangaroo, turtle, and alligator meat. I am sure there are more, but I am afraid to look. If you are conservative, but still want to do something kinky in terms of food, the ALLIGATOR dishes will do. To get an idea of what to expect visit the website http://www.cajungrocer.com. Cajun Grocer offers Louisiana Farm Raised Alligator Meat dishes, such as: Alligator Legs, Alligator Nuggets-breaded (I tried this dish; it was not bad), BLANC’S Alligator Pistolettes, and COMEAUX’S Alligator & Pork Sausage, to name a few. You can find the alligator meat in The Raw Bar & Grill, located at 3720 N Clark Street,
