T-Mobile has officially announced the BlackBerry Bold 9900, its first 4G capable device from Research In Motion. By now we’re all famliar with the phone, so instead of going over all the specs like T-Mobile does in the Press Release, we’ll just talk about some of carrier-specific aspects of the phone.
Really the only thing new is that the phone will be available tomorrow, Aug 31. Missing from the press release, as well as the company’s product page, is a price for the highly anticipated smartphone.
It’s been rumored that the phone will be priced at $300 with a two-year contract and after a $50 mail-in rebate. That means if you want to purchase the phone you’ll have to throw down $350 on the spot, or sign up for one of their special plans that allows you to pay for the phone over the course of 20 months. If that’s the case, I’ll be sure to let you guys know what I think about that in the near future.
