Mike: “Ok, so you disagree with what we are agreeing about?”
Harvey: “I’ll agree with that.”

Harvey: “By the way, you gotta to work on your Stallone. You need a lower register.”
This episode is all about being a lawyer, and the tricks that come with it. A good lawyer should not only know what these tricks are but also how to use them. Mike, being the newbie that he is, is still learning them; however, he does have a trick on how to pass the LSATS, which comes back to bite him in this episode. Overall, this episode was full of hilarious dialogue, featured an alter ego of an Suits executive (Alex Seipol), and only rushed along one storyline.
Harvey: “I just pictured you in drag.”
Mike: “I could pull that off. I have soft features.”
The storyline in question deals with Mike’s LSAT cheating past. A former client of Mike’s is actually a friend of Rachel’s, who lets slip that she cheated on the LSATS. Rachel decides to cheat on them and gets referred to Mike (however she does not know his name just that someone will take them for her). In the last moments of the episode, Rachel puts it all together that not only does Mike take LSATs for other people, but he was never in Harvard. Much like tonight’s episode of Rookie Blue, Rachel figured it out rather quickly. She could have put the pieces together over a couple of episodes, but instead she figures out basically all of Mike’s dirty little secrets at once. However, maybe the writers have some genius reason why Rachel needs to figure it out so quickly, but for now, it just seems rushed.
Jessica: “And unlike some people I know, Louis’ references don’t begin and end with Top Gun.”
Harvey: “Hey I like Louis, and I don’t care what you say, I’m not leaving my wingman. See that’s funny because that’s from Top Gun.”
Jessica: “He’s a wildcard, flies by the seat of his pants. Think I can’t quote Top Gun? Get the hell outa here.”
There were many more fine moments of “Tricks of the Trade,” including a Top Gun quote off between Harvey and Jessica. Viewers were also treated with the pleasure of seeing more one on one time between Jessica and Louis. There was a moment at dinner where it looked like Louis was going to ask Jessica out, which he kinda did. It seems that Louis could have a moment of outshining Harvey at some point. That could be widely entertaining.
