It’s that time of the year again!
Thousands of children in Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia begin school each year without even the most basic classroom necessities. To be ready to learn, they need the proper supplies!
First Coast News WTLV/WJXX, Publix Super Markets, Community First Credit Union and The Salvation Army have joined together to give needy children a “smart start” to the upcoming school year through Stuff the Bus – our annual school supply drive for kids in need. Special “Stuff the Bus” barrels are already in place at area Publix stores and Community First Credit Union locations, ready and waiting for your donations–and will be available until Saturday, August 6th.
Here is a list of items that are always needed. In fact, if you are out shopping for your own kids, just pick up a few more of whatever you’re getting for them–every little bit helps!
- Pencils, Pens, Crayons, Markers, Highlighters, Erasers
- Loose-leaf Paper, Spiral Notebooks, Composition Books
