If you’re shopping for a house, Daniel Jacobs has one

The past few days have been full of bad news for boxing fans. Tyson Fury seems to have caught COVID, and his trilogy fight with Deontay Wilder is getting delayed three months. Yorgos Kambosos fans worldwide are going to have to wait even longer than expected for their man to finally take down Teofimo Lopez, and that’s assuming Lopez is willing and able to put his passport to work.

We could all use something to lift our spirits, and a new Jake Paul fight probably isn’t going to do it. But maybe… Just maybe, a special edition of Bad Left Hook: Cribs can do the job.

In that spirit, we present super middleweight Daniel Jacobs’s house in suburban Atlanta, currently available to any qualified buyer for just US$1,950,000.

If you’re in the market for not quite 10,000 square feet of luxury in a a 7 bedroom, 5.5 bath package? Take a look and consider making an offer. The house sits on just over half an acre; enough to feel some distance from your neighbors, but not so much that you can’t handle mowing and edging your own lawn. And if you or your family need more green space? You’re living just off of a Jack Nicklaus golf course, where weekend tee times are available for as low as $79 for anyone hearty enough to play 18 in the hottest part of a Georgia afternoon.

Among the features are a pool, hot tub, gazebo, wine cellar, cigar room, and top-tier kitchen appliances. The school district gets outstanding marks, and the monitored security gate should keep the riffraff off of your lawn.

Cons? Unfortunately, it’s not very convenient to public transportation. The nearest MARTA light rail station is in Doraville, a 40 minute drive away. And the estimated monthly payment is a little over US$9,000, which may be a bit pricey for most people that aren’t former IBF middleweight champions.

Jacobs bought it from a telecom executive in June of 2017 for just under $1.5 Million. So, there could be room to negotiate and still let everyone earn a financial win.

If anyone wants to start a crowdfund, or possibly campaign for our corporate overlords at Vox Media to give me a $9,000 per month raise and a 30 year contract? I would happily buy this house and host anyone and everyone that wants to visit to watch the next Julio Cesar Chavez, Jr. fight with me. I’d even provide light refreshments.

I will not buy the pay-per-view, though. Scott Christ will have to pay for that himself.
