Hurry, dust off your gps , gas up the car and then drive out to Marche Bacchus. Far into Summerlin and sitting on a small neighborhood lake sits a wine shop and French inspired restaurant. Go on, make the trek, select a bottle of wine from their widely brilliant selection and relax out on the serenely picturesque patio. The small Bistro is perfect to enjoy conversation, wine and the fairly authentic French cuisine. Alex Stratta joined the team in the spring to reinvent the menu and add a little spark to what was once missing. Start out with a bottle of champagne or sparkling rose to accompany a cheese plate filled with fig, nuts and two kinds of pate. Moving on, the steak tartare is reminiscent of that one might enjoy sitting outside at a Parisian café. The entrees hold a selection for any diner, including a sumptuous salmon dish which includes roasted vegetables and a tomato coulis wrapped in parchment, Kurobuta porck chop with Yukon potatoes and a mustard sauce and of course the Lamb Osso Bucco which could make any diners mouth water. While these are only a few of the starting and main course choices, everything is worthy of trying, or at least giving a glance over. Chef Stratta and Chef de Cuisine Swan have worked hard to make the cuisine as appealing in presentation and on the palate as the location is to the eye. Marche Bacchus is located on 2620 Regatta Dr. Las Vegas, NV 89128 or contact the restaurant at (702) 804-8008.
