Did you make it to the first Spa After Dark event hosted by The Spa at PGA National Resort & Spa? If you missed it, then I’m here to tell you what you missed…and strongly suggest that you make it to the next one!
This event supported The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and wound up being a great social event at the same time. Guests were encouraged to participate in the silent auction, add a little flash of color via a hair extension by Maria, enjoy a cocktail or two while mingling and learning about different product options and observing demonstrations.
The Spa illustrated demos of various treatments available, such as the Phytomer Seawater Pearl Facial, the Pure Fiji Coconut & Honey Sugar Scrub (no, that is not a dessert!) and the Epicuren Noni Body Treatment, to name a few.
Spider vein removal was illustrated by Dr. Tidwell of Medicus Veincare Center and even Dr. Barr was there to demonstrate the instant results of injections and laser treatments to maintain a healthy, youthful appearance.
Recently all the rage, the Novalash eyelash extensions (which produces truly amazing results) were demonstrated by Zuly, a very patient and dedicated young lady. Never have eyelashes looked so natural, full and luxurious – I wish I had been her demo, they looked that awesome!
Once finished with touring the demonstrations and having an Iredale Cosmetics make-up application provided by Jillian, next were the knowledgeable vendors about various products sold at The Spa.
Jewelry for the woman searching for that certain item that complements every outfit, skin products by Epicuren Discovery, Phytomer and Pure Fiji (hand massages with choice of hydrating lotion complements of Meagan), as well as Clarisonic Skin Care.
Moving through the displays, Elaine was graciously explaining L’Oreal’s amazing hair products and the time saving 5-minute color treatment for men provided in The Salon, while Kit revealed the benefits of the Moroccan Oil line for healthier hair – naturally! DS Laboratories presented options for those individuals who experience hair loss and want it back, and Maggie displayed fabulous eye detox patches by Talika to erase dark circles and bags from underneath your eyes.
After inspecting all of these options and gathering samples, the next area to explore was the Waters of The World pool area! Outside, music was pumping, spectators were gathering and the dancers were dancing! Zumba dancers were showing us all how it was done and they certainly knew what they were doing. In fact, simply watching them made me feel as though I was getting a great workout!
There you have it. The first ever Spa After Dark recap – a great event for a great cause. The Spa is planning on sponsoring one such event every three months, so make a mental note to be on the lookout for the invitation to the next one…and be there!
