Temperatures will be slightly cooler in the Midlands with more cloud cover and greater thunderstorm chances.
The best chance for rain will be Monday and Tuesday afternoon. Some storms may produce very heavy rainfall and frequent lightning. Gusty winds and small hail is also possible.
Temperatures will be in the upper 90s on Monday and the mid 90s on Tuesday. Overnight lows will fall into the mid 70s.
The ridge of high pressure that was responsible for bringing six consecutive days of 100 degree temperatures will slowly build back into the area later this week and into the weekend. High temperatures will climb to around 100 degrees over the weekend.
