Calling Savannah filmmakers – the much anticipated “48 Hour Film Project” is coming back to Savannah.
According to Anthony Paderewski, Savannah Producer of the 48HFP, “On Friday, August 12th, you’ll get a character, a prop, a line of dialogue and a genre, all to include in your movie. By Sunday, August 14th, the movie must be complete. Movies will be screened in the following week at a location to be determined.”
The “48 Hour Film Project” was created to advance filmmaking and promote filmmakers through its festival/competition by encouraging filmmakers to assemble a team and make a movie in a tight deadline of 48 hours.
The 2011 tour makes its way across North America, Europe, Asia, and Africa, with an International grand prize of the Grand Prize trophy, $3,000, and a screening of the winning film at the Cannes Film Festival.
