The rhetoric is flying fast and furious this weekend in Congress as the debt limit crisis deadline nears. It’s a nail-biter, to say it politely. If you are watching the debates on the tube or the Net, it’s easy to feel helpless and furious, in equal measures.
Speak your mind at Congressman George Miller’s (D-CA) telephone townhall
Do you know you can vent, but better yet, provide constructive feedback at Congressman George Miller’s telephone townhall? What can you expect from this event?
According to Miller’s website, “Telephone Town Halls are a large scale town hall meeting conducted over the phone, allowing George the ability to communicate with thousands of constituents while at work in Washington. He does this by calling constituents and inviting them to join a conference call town hall meeting so they may have the opportunity to discuss issues and directly ask George questions from the comfort of their homes. George will often make a few opening remarks, and then start taking questions from callers.”
You first must sign up online. You can also listen to past telephone town halls at the website, the most recent one occured on July 28th.
