The area of high pressure over the Clarksville area has begun to break down as mostly cloudy skies are over the Clarksville area this morning. A weak system will cause isolated showers and thunderstorms to develop during the day today and tomorrow bringing a bit of relief to the heat as well as some much needed rain. Some of the thunderstorms could produce heavy amounts of rain in a short period of time and localized flash flooding is a possibility. The best chance to see precipitation will be during the day Saturday as this weak system moves through, but the risk will last through Sunday. Looking to the upcoming workweek, high pressure will once again settle in over the Clarksville area and the temperature will respond as highs will reach the middle to upper 90s once again.
