SF learns: Prince William, Kate, head back to the UK
LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Prince William and wife Kate were on their way back to the United Kingdom on Sunday afternoon after a three-day tour of L.A.
On their last day in SoCal, according to San Francisco news station, KTVU, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge met with kids at the Inner-City Arts on Skid Row and visited veterans at a job fair in Culver City.
San Francisco resident, Joe McAllister, said “It looks like they had a great time and they are good ambassadors for the UK.”
Los Angeles is around an 8 hour drive from San Francisco.
Here is how their last day in California went.
Around 10am on Sunday, the royal couple was greeted by a number of fans as they left their Hancock Park residence.
Admirers noted that Kate, (or Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, as she is now called), was looking good in a navy and white crochet top and a white pleat skirt. Both parts of the outfit were made by Whistles.

And this weekend both Prince William and Catherine had work to do. They went to the Inner-City Arts in downtown Los Angeles to meet with the city’s homeless.
The Inner-City Arts center is located in Skid Row. Those who attend are children who have to deal with issues like poverty and homelessness in their daily lives.
The mission of the Inner-City Arts center is to focus on the gap between the art studio and the classroom. The Center has been helping LA’s young people develop their talents for over 22 years.
The Inner-City Arts Center was just one of the many charitable organizations Prince William and Kate had decided to focus on while they were here in the States.
The itinerary for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge was to tour the facility, which included being shown the visual arts room, the ceramics room and the performing arts room. The royal couple talked to staff and campers at the center and spent around 15 minutes in each room.
Once they had been there, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge went to a job fair that was aimed at returning U.S. servicemen and women in Culver City.
Just the night before, on Saturday, the royal couple attended a red-carpet event at the Belasco Theatre in L.A in order to celebrate British film.
Kate looked stunning in an Alexander McQueen gown.
“I think it’s really important for young people to see a wonderful married couple being so happy and giving back to the community,” said Long Beach resident Patty Brunner, who was there.
“It’s nice to see how successful they are and how much they want to give back,” said John Brunner. “To see how happy they are together.”
At the time of this writing, Will and Kate have already left to return to the UK.
