SF learns: Clark Gable III arrested for pointing laser at helicopter (video)
LOS ANGELES, Calif. — San Francisco residents who are following top news stories are learning that the grandson of icon Clark Gable has been arrested for pointing a laser at an LAPD helicopter.
LAPD have said that they take laser-pointing very seriously. It can blind the pilot or lead to a life-threatening accident.
San Francisco resident, David Michael says “There are plenty of ways a person can be entertained with a laser, they don’t have to use it to put a pilot’s life in danger.”
Clark Gable III’s sister says the pointing at a helicopter was accidental. She says her brother had been given the pointer as a gift and was just randomly pointing it around outside. She says he did not mean to point it at a helicopter.
According to ABC 7 News in San Francisco, Lt. Alex Medel reported that 22-year-old Clark James Gable and his 23-year-old friend Maximilian Anderson were stopped in Hollywood on Thursday night.
On Friday, according to ABC 7 News, both men remained jailed on $250,000 bail each.
