The police chief of Wheeler, Wisconsin, is accused of molesting 2 teenage boys who he was mentoring, according to the St. Paul Pioneer Press 7-31-2011. While Thursday’s, 7-28-2011 St. Paul Pioneer Press headlines stated “Child Molester Admits Guilt”, in regard to Spring Lake Park man, John Heuer, who abducted and sexually assaulted an 8-year-old girl. Stories such as these are common.
It seems interesting that there is an extremely high divorce rate in our society. It is often commonplace for married people to cheat. We seem to focus on self-fulfillment in society and yet many seem to be searching for something else, feeling dissatisfied with their predicament, partner, or lot in life, some are even committing sex crimes. While some perpetrators of sex crimes have sexually deviant fantasies, behavior, or mental illness, others are simply not satisfied in their relationships, and choose sexual conquests that go beyond societal laws.
Our relationships, whether they are with a spouse, a friend, a coworker, or whomever, are typically among the most important components of our life. We learn and grow through our relationships; we learn compassion, empathy, faith, love, and many other important lessons from developing and maintaining relationships.
It is when we give of our self in a relationship, without looking at what and how much we are receiving; we learn how to really love another. By serving our relationships and doing for our partner/spouse, helping, supporting her/him in his/her growth and quests, we become a better team.
This love we create, by truly giving of our self in relationship not only helps our soul to grow, but it increases our energy flow, and we attain more insights, intuitive guidance, and help in our life, creating an upward spiral of energy and love. This higher energy is a result of combining our energy with another. When we merge energy together, we create a higher energy consciousness state. I believe, besides the pleasurable physical aspects of making love, the higher energy level, resulting from merged energy is something we naturally seek and benefit from.
It is from the exposure to the higher energy, that we glimpse our next vibrational consciousness level, get stronger intuitive insights, and work towards attaining our next developmental level. By establishing a truly loving and giving relationship, not only are we thus more fulfilled and happier, but we benefit from this higher energy consciousness and experience the multitude of benefits that accompany this increased energy state.
So often in this life, we are told to think of ourselves, i.e., put ourselves first or “look out for number one.” We think about what our needs are, what we are not getting or receiving from our relationships, and exactly how much we are giving to others in our life. It is time to stop keeping a mental tally, to open our hearts, and truly love our partners, spouses, friends, etc., benefitting our own soul growth, our own increased energy flow, and helping these special people in our life.
It is when we change our focus from what we are not getting and how we can finagle to achieve what we want, to how are we pleasing another, our life changes from dissatisfaction and feeling a sense of lack, to fulfillment and higher energy.
