In the blink if an eye September is already here, and fall will soon follow. We are in the final and mutable part of the summer with the Sun, Venus and soon Mercury, all in the sign of Virgo, changing the energy once again, and urging us to pay attention to more serious matters.
The US Natal chart has been battered this past month as the Uranus-Pluto square fell on America’s Jupiter, the planet signifying money, expansion and foreign matters. On August 5, the US received its first and only credit downgrade in history. Need I say more? Hurricane Irene came just in time, as Saturn made its final conjunction to Saturn in America’s chart, and we have completing the third and final pass of America’s eighth Saturn return. Saturn returns to its own placement in a chart every 30 years, bringing with it challenges, as Saturn in a hard aspect always brings. The planets do work, if you haven’t noticed.
Uranus will retrograde to two degrees of Aries on September 17, placing a two degree orb between Pluto and Uranus. The energy of this square is still there, just not quite as intense. The planets are separating now, and Uranus retrogrades to one degree of Aries October 10, just after Pluto moves to five degrees, further decreasing the energy of this wicked configuration. Uranus will retrograde back to the 0 degree Point, the degree that Astrologer-Author Celeste Teal correctly states involves ‘the world at large.’ She has certainly been correct in the past: Summer of 2010 saw the BP oil disaster and March of this year saw the Japanese tsunami and the nuclear meltdown. Not to mention Arab spring, revolution in Libya, Syria, and other places too numerous to name, and then there is the worldwide economic slowdown. I would say all of this definitely involves the world at large! We will have a final pass of the 0 degree Aries point from November 11, 2011-January 8, 2012. Expect similar events that come in unexpected and explosive ways, and some of these incidents could be nuclear in nature, as well as natural or manmade disasters.
As Uranus moves forward in 2012, it will square Pluto again in June of 2012 at 8 degrees of Capricorn, this time falling on America’s Venus-the other money planet. Pluto and Uranus planets will square each other numerous times in the sky until 2016. So, until then, we can expect chaos, confusion and upheaval and revolutionary sediments each time these planets clash.
Pluto will make a final pass across America’s Jupiter October-November 2011. Pluto brings change or regeneration, and it will affect money and could be related to matters abroad. With the transit coming in the form of an opposition, nothing will be easy or without great opposition from parties concerned.
Here are some of the transits for September. September 2, the Sun trines Jupiter, a pleasant transit conducive to taking care of business and starting new ventures. Jupiter can blow things out of proportion and you could overindulge. Great for travel, and brings an element of luck. September 8, Mercury opposes Neptune, and this is a tiring, draining transit. Mercury-Neptune relates to water, and we may hear news of such. This is a transit of illusion, delusion, confusion, and sometimes lies. Don’t take anything too seriously until this passes. Mercury re-enters Virgo on September 9, putting us where we were before the planet of communication retrograded in August. Communications styles will change becoming more serious and detail oriented. Such is the end of summer.
This month’s full moon occurs on Monday, September 12 at 5:27 EST at 19 degrees of Pisces. The ruler of Pisces is Neptune, the planet of illusion, delusion and confusion and misinformation. Pisces rules the twelfth house of the unknown, things that are secret and hidden, secret enemies, the unconscious mind, and mysteries. It also rules faith, religion and the mysteries of life. With this full moon you have the potential to soar to the highest of highs or sink to the lowest of lows; such are the ways of a planet in Pisces. At 19 degrees, this full moon may bring epiphanies to some and confusion to others, depending on where it is falling in your chart. The full moon opposes the Sun, Venus and Mercury in Virgo, but trines Mars the planet of action at 25 degrees of Cancer. This trine to the red planet brings easy action and movement forward. The Pisces moon will sextile Jupiter at 10 degrees of Taurus in a wide orb, another positive aspect that can be uplifting and bring luck to the table. It also sextiles Pluto in a 15 degree orb that can bring some intensity to the situation. Information will be revealed to some of us on this full moon, and it is a great configuration for metaphysical activities, helping others and creativity. Mercury trines Pluto on September 12, bring focus and serious thinking to our life. A great transit for research or to delve into any topic you have interest in. You may receive a wealth of information this day. The planet of communication is within four degrees of also trining Jupiter the planet of wealth and expansion, so this is a positive time to move forward on new ventures, ideas, travel and expansion of any kind that moves your life in a new and positive direction. Grand trines like this occur infrequently, so it is up to us to take advantage of them when they do occur, and move our life along in the direction we want it to go. Grand trines also bring an element of luck to the table as well. A Grand trine is an astrological configuration involving a 120 degree angle involving three planets that is generally known to bring ease and harmony. The time to move forward with confidence is over the next few days. Mercury trines Jupiter exact on September 15. As the full moon opposes Virgo, health concerns can be activated for some individuals if the chart indicates such. Otherwise, you will not have problems. If you began a diet or health regime on the last new moon, you may experience some challenges here during this full moon.
September 14, Venus enters Libra one of the signs it rules. Venus is at home here and many people will be seeking love—or something like that. Great for Libra’s. September 15, Mercury trines Jupiter the planet of expansion. Now is the time to move forward with new ideas, ventures or even travel. On September 16, Pluto goes direct. Astrologer Mitch Lewis wrote about it best in his newsletter, “On Friday September 16th at 2:33 P.M. EST our favorite non-planet reverses direction. While in retrograde the power of Pluto has been somewhat limited. Many of the power struggles that have gone on in the undercurrent will now be brought to the surface. This will include personal situations as well as governments, corporations, etc. Steve Jobs is resigning just as Pluto changes direction. Washington will begin to address the chasm that exists between the two political points of view. Libya’s revolution is changing power in that country as well. We will see more reversals of power in our culture and our relationships.” On September 17, Venus opposes Uranus. Venus rules money and relationships and either one could go up or down. Meeting strangers can have appeal but don’t be surprised if they disappear just as quickly as they came. September 18, Venus squares Pluto. Venus-Pluto relates to issues connected to sex, intensity and jealousy. Control issues can become paramount. You could also experience issues connected to money. September 18, Mars enters Leo, the most dramatic of signs. Love issues will become important again, especially to Aries. Every time Mars changes signs, the energy and the way we direct and experience energy changes. Leo is a fire sign and doesn’t take to wallflowers. You may notice everyone around you being more assertive. Enjoy mars in this fire sign because when it enters the more serious Virgo in November, it will remain there for about 8 months, as Mars will retrograde in January 2012. September 23, the Sun enters Libra. Libra rules relationships, as well as the first part of the fall. Libra is all about partnerships, marriage and relationships in general. September 23, Mars trines Uranus. What a combination! The planet of action meets the planet of change in a positive angle. Make it work for you! September 25, Mercury enters Libra giving us a total of four planets in this cardinal sign. Mercurial energy will change, giving us the ability to see all sides of a situation, and making us more inclined to settle matters peacefully. Many will focus on relationships during this time.
The most volatile transits occur toward the end of the month. September 25, the Sun squares Uranus. Uranus is the planet of shocking, explosive and sudden incidents, rebellion and revolution, that seems to come out of the blue. We will likely see Uranus like situations occurring in the news, and in our personal lives as well. This is an accident or argument waiting to happen and it will come out of nowhere. Sun-Uranus also has to do with separations of all kinds. You will be most affected over the next few days if you were born In the early degrees of Cancer, Capricorn, Libra or Aries. September 27-28, Mercury opposes Uranus and the Sun squares Pluto. Mercury-Uranus relates to arguments, accidents, and it could involve water related situations. Again, Uranus is the planet of the unexpected. Sun-Pluto relates to power struggles, control issues, hidden information coming out and forced change. We may see news that involves the media, and Pluto rules oil and nuclear situations. There will be strong impetus to change and we will be dealing with the ‘powers that be,’ both on a worldwide and personal level.
September 27, the New Moon falls at 4 degrees of Libra. Libra is all about relationships, partnerships, justice and governments. New moons are generally about new beginnings, but this New Moon squares Pluto, the planet of control, opposes Uranus, the planet of unexpected and explosive situations and conjuncts Saturn, the planet of responsibilities, thus creating a Grand Square between Uranus and Pluto. With the above mention aspects in play as well expect this to be a new moon that brings the unexpected. Look for news about governments, justice and relationships and some of the news will come unexpectedly. A major shift can occur in important relationships at this time one way or another. You will be most affected if you were born December 22-28, March 21-28, June 22-29, or September 24-30.
