Sometimes when it comes to answering dumb questions even seniors can have a smart Alec attitude. In addition, it is good to laugh at life, and sometimes seniors are better at looking at life in a comical way. Here is a little story from an individual that is in the 50 plus range. Since she is a very dear person, we will keep her age and identity confidential. The following story is a true event and needs to be read, so enjoy.
My Trip to Walmart
I was in the checkout line in Walmart buying a big bag of dog food when a woman behind me asked if I had a dog. So on impulse I told her no, I didn’t have a dog, I was starting the Purina Diet again. I also added I probably shouldn’t, because I ended up in the hospital the last time, with tubes coming out of my mouth and IVs in both arms. It is the perfect diet and that the way that it works is to load your pants pockets with the nuggets and simply eat one or two every time you feel hungry. It is nutritionally complete so it works well and I was going to try it again. She asked if I ended up in ICU because the dog food was poison. I told her no, I stepped off a curb to sniff an Irish setter and a car hit us both. So I stopped their before I would burst out laughing. Therefore, you better watch what you say to the older people. I will think of crazy things to say.
