‘Saving One Pet at a Time!’ is the theme of Chicago Pet Rescue, sometimes referred to in the pet industry as CPR. CPR is inviting you to join them for all of their sponsored events. They are also looking for volunteers.
The volunteers would be asked to do such jobs as the following:
- To hand out flyers about the CPR events to provide the public with information.
- To invite people to visit the CPR website.
- To answer questions about Chicago Pet Rescue.
- To recruit volunteers and foster homes for the dogs rescued by CPR.
- To accept donations to keep CPR alive and well.
The next special event will begin on Friday, July 29th and last through Sunday, July 31st. CPR wants you to know that they would love to have you volunteer, but they want you to know that if you can’t volunteer that you can still help them out by attending the event to support their purpose. You can also invite your friends and family and co-workers to volunteer or to attend as well.
On the Chicago Pet Rescue website, on the Special Events Tab, you can locate all Upcoming Events. This current event will take place all day and is called Dine and Make a Difference. It takes place at Armand’s Pizzeria, 6694 North Northwest Highway in Chicago. (Northwest Highway is located between Oxford Avenue and Oliphant Avenue.)
When you eat at Armand’s, they will donate to the Chicago Pet Rescue for you! When you participate in this event you will make a difference in a homeless dog’s life.
How many times have you felt pressured to buy something simply because it could help someone or something? Then, think back to how many times you have gone out to eat on a weekend? For many families, pizza is a staple on weekends.
The very best part of this fundraising event is that it will not cost you a thing! Armand’s will donate a portion of your check for you; 15% to be exact. You get to enjoy a delicious meal and that is the extent of your input (unless of course you do want to volunteer!). One better piece of information to note is that you can even donate if you decide not to eat in, but to carry out!
If you have any questions or want directions to Armand’s, call 773.930.4800. Make sure that you take the printout with you and also make sure you tell your friends! The more people who participate, the better off CPR will be and the more dogs it will help!
Make sure to email CPR at [email protected] you are interested in volunteering. And don’t forget, eat out for homeless dogs and you will help to save one pet at a time!
