This is where you pick up your race number, timing tag, Brooks Technical T-shirt, swag bag, check out over 80 exhibitors and get some free samples! It is definitely a fun event and I have worked at one of these booths before and there are a LOT of people that come through. All sorts of booths are there geared to the runner or athlete. Chiropractors and massage therapists are there to help you out as well as nutritional products for you to try out.
Sunday, October 2 – START: W. Santa Clara between San Pedro & Almaden Blvd.

Half Marathon Start 8:00 am
This race has over 12,000 runners and walkers. Fall temperatures for the area are between 55-69˚F. The course is fast and flat, which is great for beginners or veterans trying to set a personal record. There are bands along the route and at the end there is a concert and festival at Plaza de Cesar Chavez (8:00 am – 1:00 pm). You can even go just to support and have fun!

The San Jose Half Marathon is a UjENA Fit Club Event!
If you are familiar with Runner’s World Magazine, you should be familiar with Bob Anderson who founded and published it for 18 years. He created UjENA Swimwear in 1984 and it has grown to much more. They now have UjENA Fit Club Wear and UjENA Fit Club which strives to “Promot[e] Fitness in Unique Ways” and has picked this half marathon as a UjENA Fit Club GO FOR IT! Race. The goal of UjENA Fit Club is to encourage people to get fit by making it a daily habit by running or walking one mile daily.
