The Frisco RoughRiders were once again unable to take move into any part of first place in the Texas League South.
The Missions got to Richard Bleier early and took advantage of three errors, coasting their way to an 11-5 win at Nelson Wolff Stadium. San Antonio once again moved back into two games up in the division.
The Missions got four runs in the second inning, starting with three straight hits to start the inning, including an RBI double from Dean Anna. Anthony Contreras and Blake Tekotte also had RBI hits.
Five more runs came in the third inning. Bleier allowed three more consecutive hits that were followed by back-to-back errors, scoring three runs total. He was pulled for Jacob Brigham after walking Daniel Robertson, and Brigham allowed back-to-back RBI hits.
Frisco finally got on the board with three in the fifth on five hits. Engel Beltre tripled home Jon Greene and then scored on Jose Felix’s hit. Davis Stoneburner brought home Felix.
The Missions came back with two in the seventh, as Stoneburner’s second error led to RBIs from Jedd Gyorko and Sawyer Carroll.
Mitch Hilligoss and Stoneburner had RBI hits in the eighth inning.
Six of the 11 total runs the Riders allowed were unearned.
