TAMPA – Friday Sept.2, 2011, GOP presidential candidate, Mitt Romney opens his Florida headquarters in Tampa. The doors of the grand opening is scheduled to open at 9:00 am and the program begins at 10:00 am, located at 142 W. Platt Street, Tampa.
Romney has recently seen poll numbers give way to current frontrunner, Texas Gov. Rick Perry after Perry entered the race on August 13, 2011. Both frontrunners of the GOP candidates, find themselves with large pockets of regional support, but without large scale nationwide support.
GOP has a shallow pool of well qualified and overwhelmingly great candidates, but there are several candidates that are newsworthy with frequent visits to Florida. Jon Huntsman had established presidential headquarters in Orlando, FL, a few months ahead of Romney.
Presidential candidate, Herman Cain, though not opening a headquarters in Tampa or Florida yet, will accept an invitation to address The Republican National Hispanic Assembly titled, ” Salute The Troops “, on Friday in Tampa.
Tampa will host a CNN-Tea Party debate on September 12, 2011, where Cain will also attend.
Michele Bachmann visited the Tampa area August 24 and later Sarasota. Again she did not fail to orate another botched public statement, when after drawing a crowd of 150, in Lutz’s (North Tampa) Idlewild Baptist Church, traveled to Sarasota and spoke to 1,500 supporters with a stand up comedy act.
At least that’s the conclusion of her staff members, that her statement of Washington politicians need to heed the acts of God, as earthquakes and hurricanes are messages for legislators to listen to the American people and reduce government spending and size, was spoken in jest or in humor. Haha. The real message maybe not to take Bachmann as a serious candidate, but as a stand up comedian, whose only strength appears to be attacks on President Obama or the government that she is actually a part of herself.
Similar to Gov. Rick Perry, who had proposed during the peak of the recession, that Texas secede from the United States and become a separate nation. Now, how he can seriously garner support from the misinformed and delusional, to go to Washington and lead the federal government is puzzling, another, Haha.
Only Americans of active brain cells know it is a subject matter that by far is a non-comical issue and needs a candidate of utmost integrity and competence, like the nation’s current president.
