Part of a large family of a gaming properties owned by Isle of Capri Casinos Inc., Isle Casino Hotel, was the first casino in Biloxi, opening its doors in 1992. Founded by Bernard Goldstein, its parent company has been a pioneer in the industry and has holdings spread throughout The United States. Unfortunately, Isle Casino Hotel, Biloxi was completely devastated by Hurricane Katrina and forced to move its tables and slots into a makeshift area inside the hotel.
Of all the casinos affected by the destruction of Hurricane Katrina, the Isle was among those hit the hardest. This is readily apparent once inside the casino; slot machines are housed in converted hallways and the layout imparts a chaotic feeling. Surprisingly, giving the state of the slot and table pits, the nine table poker room is quite well appointed and protected from the outside nicely by glass barriers.
Although its gaming facility is not the best in Biloxi, the Isle still has many other services to offer its guests. The dining options are headlined by Farradday’s Steakhouse. Music lovers will enjoy the Isle’s series of free Atrium Concerts and Outdoor Bands. The spa offers an extensive range of health and beauty treatments. There are always a number of good deals to found on all of their services.
