Boomtown Casino is located a short way off Route 90, on the Back Bay of Biloxi and designed in the theme of a dusty, western saloon. A large stage coach sits in the entranceway and the carpet is adorned with colorful spurs and cowboy boots. In honor of its gambling predecessors, there are antique slot machines placed about the gaming floor, including two inside the bellies of a life-sized cowboy and Native American.
With one of the smallest table games areas, Boomtown is geared more towards slots play. They spread all the traditional casino games (blackjack, craps, and roulette), as well as a few other lesser known ones, but there are not many tables to choose from. The poker room is small and tucked away in a corner of the second floor, but it typically has at least one game of limit Hold’em spread.
Boomtown excels in making its visitors feel welcome. It is the only casino in Biloxi to provide its thirsty patrons with self-serve soda dispensers on the gaming floor. This convenience is accompanied by great comfort food like mile high deli sandwiches and half pound chili dogs. These are some of the reasons that Boomtown has established itself as the “local’s casino” of Biloxi.
