Having recently celebrated her 35th #1 single in addition to an already impressive list of accomplishments, Reba McEntire has earned her title of The Queen of Country. Though she has already sold over 56 million albums over the course of her career, Reba continues to draw fans in with her amazing voice and her sweet, down to earth personality.
With her guest appearance on NBC’s The Voice wrapped up, Reba is now preparing for a fall tour through the United States and Canada. The All The Women I Am Tour will not only promote Reba’s newest album, but the musical talents of three acts who have been busy staking their own claims in the country music community.
Edens Edge, a trio made up of Hannah Blaylock, Dean Berner and Cherrill Green, is currently climbing the charts with their first single titled, Amen. The song tells the story of a woman who can finally voice her feelings for a young man who lives in the same small town as she, now that word has gotten around that the girl he was seeing left him for another guy. Edens Edge group members bring their rock, country and bluegrass roots as well as their small town backgrounds to their great debut album.
Steel Magnolia, the soon to be husband and wife duo of Meghan Linsey and Joshua Scott Jones, were playing solo until they entered and won season two of Can You Duet? Their first single, Keep On Loving You found an eager audience and climbed to number 4 on the Billboard Country Chart in 2009. Subsequent releases from their first album include Just By Being You (Halo and Wings) and Last Night Again, both of which showcase the couple’s love and creativity through their videos. The duo has already been nominated for several awards including Top New Vocal Duo by the Academy of Country Music and is currently nominated for a Teen Choice Award.
The Band Perry was starting to make a name for themselves already, but gained huge success with the release of their second single, If I Die Young. Fans voted the band Top New Vocal Group or Duo, which catapulted them into the win for Top New Artist at the 2011 Academy of Country Music Awards. On the heels of that success, The Band Perry is now storming the charts with their follow up track, You Lie, which sits ready to take over the #1 spot should Blake Shelton’s Honey Bee begin to fall.
Combining the very unique sounds of these three hot new groups with the timeless talent of Reba McEntire, will make the All the Women I Am Tour an exciting night of entertainment. St. Louis fans will be thrilled to know that Reba will make a stop at the Chaifeitz Arena on October 28th. Alternate nearby shows include Kansas City, Missouri on October 29th, or two earlier concerts, Moline, Illinois on October 6th and Bloomington, Illinois on October 7th. The best seats for any show can be purchased beginning July 9th for RebaNet members. Otherwise, tickets are expected to go on sale to the public on July 15th.
