The Virginia Resource Advisory Committee has scheduled a meeting in Roanoke to discuss what projects to recommend to the Forest Service and select its priorities. The committee oversees George Washington National Forest and Jefferson National Forest.
The meeting is scheduled for Friday, August 12, 2011 from 9 a.m. to noon, and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. If it needs more time, it will continue on Thursday, August 18 at 6 p.m. The meetings are open to the public. People can also submit written comments. Or they can speak at the meeting for up to three minutes. But speakers need to register by August 8.
The meeting takes place at the George Washington and Jefferson National Forests Supervisor’s Office conference room, 5162 Valleypointe Parkway, Roanoke, Virginia 24019.
