An inmate at the Polk County jail was treated at the emergency room for swallowing methamphetamine. EMS was dispatched to the Polk County jail Friday afternoon in reference to a 28-year-old female displaying symptoms of shaking and sweating related to swallowing some methamphetamine the day before.
Kelly Nichole Presley, age 28, of was booked into the jail Friday morning at 4:07 am on charges of 2nd degree forgery, drugs not in original container and possession of methamphetamine.
Presley had been moved to a side cell on Friday per medical staff at the jail for observation. Just after noon, EMS was dispatched to the jail. Presley was transported to Floyd where she was treated. She was then transported back to the Polk County jail where she remains in custody.
