The National Police arrested last July a nurse accused of storing videos in which appear at least two hundred women while they undress to undergo a medical examination that he practiced on the campuses that the Carlos III University has in the Madrid towns of Getafe and Leganés, have advanced to elDiario.es police sources. The health, whose identity responds to the initials S. B., is an employee of an external clinic, Quiron group, and worked on both campuses.

The arrest was the result of the complaint of the then-partner, who had found the videos on a computer owned by the nurse. The agents seized the computer and found the two hundred videos in which the intimate parts of the women appeared while the nurse was performing medical examinations.

Since then, the Judicial Police group of the police station of Aranjuez has worked to locate the victims to offer them to denounce and take their statements. Sources of the case have explained to elDiario.es that the nurse is being investigated for a crime against privacy. From the investigation so far it is not clear that the detainee in July had uploaded to the Internet or shared with third parties the aforementioned videos, although the investigations continue.

The Carlos III University offers medical examinations to all teaching, research and administrative staff at the beginning of each year. To do so, it lends a room on each campus where employees undergo electrocardiograms or blood tests. They then have a subsequent appointment with a doctor who performs another series of tests. The nurse arrested in July would have participated in more than one of these annual medical examinations, say the sources consulted, carried out in dependencies of the campuses.

Official University sources have informed elDiario.es that the Carlos III University has appeared this morning “in the preliminary proceedings” opened in a court of law as a “private prosecutor in defense of the interests of the university community and in support of the affected workers. Likewise, UC3M has placed its legal service and possible specialized legal assistance, free of charge, at the service of those workers who require it, according to the same spokesperson.
