Long time, Alliance affiliated producer, Austin “Payday” Green has broken his silence regarding the recent developments that led to the growing tension between Bounty Killer’s Alliance crew & Mavado’s Gully crew.
The feud started after the shooting death of Mavado & Chase Cross’ close friend, Conroy “Connie” Edwards outside of Bounty Killer’s Birthday party at the QUAD nightclub earlier this summer. Cross later alleged that Bounty & members of the Alliance camp made disparaging comments about himself & Mavado; intimating that Bounty was angry about them allegedly mashing up his party & didn’t offer any condolences to the Gully side artistes regarding Conroy’s death. Lyrical shots have since been fired both ways with Cross releasing Killer diss songs such as “Mash Up Everything” & “Kill The Link” while Bounty answered with the Payday produced song, “Waste Crosses.”
Now, Green has expressed his thoughts regarding the “Gulliance” situation via press release. “I Austin PayDay Green was the middleman/voice of reasoning between Bounty Killer & Movado after the tragic incident occurred. I spent weeks trying to fix communication between the two artistes since it was one big family of us,” Green intimated.
Green continued, saying, “Though my sincere efforts to calm the brewing feud and provide closure and justice to what transpired my efforts weren’t successful as more lyrical insults came and I was subject to it as well. I would like to make it known that there are many unscrupulous characters who have silently escalated the feud but I believe in God and he isn’t asleep. Also the hypocrites, who have been speaking to issue and isn’t fully informed, should just stop calling and pinging because at the end of it all people have feelings.”
Additionally, Green called for the groups to unite & discover the source that indeed has been spreading vast rumors to media outlets regarding the feud so that the Gulliance can once again be a unified crew. “Music is the element that brought us all together under the direction of Bounty Killer, a pioneer and a man who we all should respect in spite of our in differences,” Green implied.
Meanwhile, Green & the Payday Music Group are currently promoting their latest projects including the Party Spree Riddim & the Bedroom Riddim which features a myriad of female artistes including Timberlee, Stacious, Natalie Storm as well as Alliance first lady, Ishawna & Alliance Next Generation artistes, Kym & Bridgez.
