In a tribute honoring the late Pastor Zachery Tims, an inspiring video highlights his funeral. The video is a moving rendition paying homage to the spiritual leader.
Dr. Zachery Tims’ funeral had thousands line up in wait to get a glimpse, and say goodbye to their beloved pastor. Outside the New Destiny Christian Center the atmosphere was somber. The video shows gloomy clouds in the sky, then as clouds depart; it appears the heavens open up.
The video opens with, “Rest in Peace Now, Pastor Zach! It was a true honor knowing you. We will always love and Remember you. For no one can pass judgment on you now because God has said unto you! Well Done My child, Well done!”
Hundreds of comments poured in. Viewers call it a “beautiful tribute” and give thanks for sharing to those unable to attend. The outpouring of love is fitting with this touching tribute. (See Video on left)
Done in great respect, a casket viewing was not shown on the video. Yet the faces of NDCC, the choir, the worship in prayer, and the pictures of Zach grace the room. The video is beautifully illustrated.
Dr. Zachery Tims was laid to rest at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Orlando Florida on August 20, 2011. A place of peace filled with flowers and greenery with weeping willow trees, the video captures it all.
A single red rose is held in the hand of a mourner. “God has a plan,” Pastor Zach would say.
It’s a celebration of his life and legacy. Pastor Zach is mourned. The video tributes give a place to heal. Watching these captured moments heal the wounded hearts of those who grieve.
A funeral leaflet reveals Psalm 23, the Psalm of David. “The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.”
Mourners, friends, and family remain in shock over Tims death. His family, his four children need prayers.
