25th Annual Greater Palm Springs Pride Festival: November 5-6

Palm Springs AIDS Walk and 5k Run
Date: October 22, 2011
Location: Ruth Hardy Park in Palm Springs
Description: The AIDS Walk 2011 5K route winds through the historic Movie Colony and along picturesque Palm Canyon Drive. A Community Health & Fitness Village, celebrity entertainers live music, and opening ceremonies will feature Celebrity Comedian and TV Star Scott Nevins.
Greater Palm Springs Pride Weekend (Celebrating 25 years)
Dates: November 5-6, 2011
Location: Palm Springs Stadium and downtown
Description: The 2011 Greater Palm Sprigs Pride Festival, “Just Today. Equality Forever.” will be held November 5-6, 2011. Considered to be the most scenic pride parades, the parade will be held on Sunday, November 6 at 10 a.m. along the palm tree lined streets of Palm Canyon Drive. Only a rainbow mile from downtown, is the two-day festivals at the Palm Springs Stadium featuring top live entertainment, dancing, DJs, and vendors. A 5K run and walk event will take place on Nov. 5. New this year – Broadway in Drag, female impersonators vie for the crown for best evening gown, talent and swimsuit at the Palm Canyon Theater on November 4.
