Otani’s Japanese Restuarant isn’t what you call traditional. When someone orders sushi, keep in mind, if they don’t fish it out of a tank and kill the fish in front of you, it’s not real sushi. These days, all these eateries enjoy giving people the illusion that what they serve is the real deal. Stay away from most sushi due to the fact that there’s mercury, unless you enjoy getting poisoned by it. Stick to the soba or the udon they serve. It’s frankly too damn expensive to go everyday, so watch the dent it’ll put in the wallet. The soba and the udon are the more traditional items that are recommended. Don’t try the other garbage they have otherwise you’ll likely walk out faster than you walked in.
Most Americans remain undeducated when it comes to what is real Japanese food. They’ve been fooled by the cookie cutter imitators, which they’ve always assumed are legitimate.
