Keeping up with the Kardashian family isn’t always easy, so sometimes press releases help keep journalists in the know. Unfortunately, one such release used a gimmick that didn’t do as it was intended.
Consider the back story:
Everyone who knows the ways of Kim, Khloe and Kourtney — to name three — knows that this Kardashian kinship likes to use Ks in their brand. And that means Ks are sometimes used when the letter C would be the grammatically correct spelling choice.
Enter a new line of clothing called the Kardashian Kollection, and along with it a press release where the use of the K alliteration is prevalent. Sadly, this way of writing backfired when the Kardashian name was linked to the word Klan. And yes, that is a word — and a worrisome one at that.
Obviously, the use of “klan” instead of “clan” made for some not-so-savory images, so much so that the person who wrote the cutsie press release may want to reconsider his or her wording next time.
And so it goes. No matter what the flubs in the life of the Kardashian siblings, their clan is still one a zillion fans seem to be interested in following. How about you?
